I wish you could see my Amazon order history in the weeks leading up to Nora’s birth, but I’m too embarrassed to show you. I bought a lot of stuff that I didn’t need and didn’t have the space for. Since then, I’ve tried to be more intentional about my toddler Amazon purchases. Nora is so curious and loves getting into everything — honestly, she’d rather play with a spatula than a toy. I’m shopping less, but the stuff I’m buying is worth it. Here are a few random things that I love for toddler life.
1. Child Safety Strap Locks
A follower actually recommended these to me (if you’re reading this, I owe you). Nora loves slamming doors and drawers, and I was losing sleep worrying that she’d break a finger. These have made it impossible for her to open the drawers in her dresser. SHOP HERE.
2. Non-Slip Shower Mat
Nora hit the weight limit for her baby tub a couple months ago, and I didn’t really want to spend the money on buying a new one. This shower mat allows her to crawl around our tub without slipping, making bath time less stressful. SHOP HERE.
3. Bath Letters and Numbers
Since we’re on the topic of bath time, I have to tell you about these. Nora used to love bathing, but she’s in a phase where she cries when she first gets in. I hand her a few of these letters to distract her, and it works like a charm. SHOP HERE.
4. Bath Crayons
I also love these bath crayons for bath time. She’s just getting old enough to use them without my help, and she loves drawing on the bath walls. Bonus: it’s so easy to rinse off, so no need to worry about a mess. SHOP HERE.
5. KIDS ‘N’ PETS Stain & Odor Remover
If you get my newsletter, you’ve already heard me wax poetically about this stain remover. This is definitely not a toddler-specific purchase — I wish I’d known about it when Nora was an infant. But it works magic on gross stains, so I plan to always keep a bottle handy. SHOP HERE.
6. Toddler Step Stool
This stool is technically recommended for potty training, which I didn’t realize when I bought it. We aren’t there yet, but it’s the perfect height for Nora to reach our bathroom sink when we’re washing hands and brushing her teeth. SHOP HERE.
7. Upholstered Tufted Storage Ottoman
I don’t do well with clutter, so having a toddler has definitely forced me to chill out. I still like having a place to shove all of Nora’s toys when people are over or I want to tidy up. It took three orders before I finally found a toy bin that I liked, and I loved this so much that I ordered two more. SHOP HERE.
8. Baby Girl Flamingo Swimsuit
This swimsuit is so cute that I bought it without thinking, and it makes me want to squeal when I see Nora in it. We’ve washed it a few times, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at its quality for the price — not all of the toddler Amazon clothing I’ve bought has been well made. SHOP HERE.
9. Busy Board
I’ve already included this busy board in a previous roundup of toddler travel must-haves, but it’s so good that I’m adding it to this list, too. It’s been so fun to watch Nora get better at solving the puzzles, and I love that it’s all practical. (Although she knows how to unzip my purse, thanks to the zipper on here!) SHOP HERE.
10. Pretend Play Kitchen Accessories
We spent a pretty penny on a play kitchen for Nora, but the accessories that only cost us $25 are her favorite part — go figure. She pretty much always has a pot and spatula in her hand, and it’s the cutest thing ever. I love that it’s helping her learn the names of foods, too. SHOP HERE.
11. Beaded Raindrops Toy
Nora has always loved rattles, but she’s lost interest in the ones we gave her when she was a few months old. This toy is loud enough to satisfy her without making me lose my mind the way an instrument would. SHOP HERE.
12. Melissa & Doug Board Book
This book was recommended in a baby Facebook group, and I’m so grateful for it. It’s so satisfying to pop the buttons (honestly, I think I enjoy it more than Nora does) and it’s a fun way to get her to pay attention to reading. SHOP HERE.
I can’t wait to make an updated version of this post once Nora is a little older! Until then, I hope this toddler Amazon roundup helped you.
