The 13 Best Things I Bought In 2019

Happy 2020! I’m notoriously terrible at linking the things that I love, so here’s my attempt to make things right. I’ve compiled a few of my very favorite purchases that I made in 2019. I did make an effort to do less impulse spending last year (although I didn’t always succeed), which is why the price point for some of my faves is higher than usual. I decided to invest in things I could wear and use again and again instead of buying the cheapest option available. Enjoy this roundup, my friends! This post does use affiliate links, and purchases that you make through the links below help me continue to pour time and resources into blog posts. Without further ado…

For Your Home

Bedsure Sherpa Fleece Blanket, Amazon

I have searched high and low for a soft, warm blanket that won’t break the bank, and I’ve finally found it. I wasn’t expecting much at this price point, but I sleep under this blanket every night and plan to buy it in more colors.

Brandt Oriental Light Blue/Gray/Ivory Area Rug, Wayfair

This rug was actually a 2018 purchase, but I recommended it to so many people this year that I had to include it. Bonus: it’s currently 57& off!

Greenco Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment

I’m a very proper lady, so I’ll play coy and just say that your bum will be grateful for this purchase. THANK ME LATER.

I get questions about this rug anytime I share a post with it. It’s the perfect piece for my office and provides a much-needed splash of color. World Market is always having sales, so if you don’t want to pull the trigger yet, keep checking their site!

For Your Closet

American Eagle mock neck oversized sweater

Mock Neck Oversized Sweater, American Eagle

I own this sweater in rainbow, tan, black, and white because doing things in moderation is for nerds. It’s half off, and I recommend sizing down — I wear a medium instead of my usual L/XL.

Women’s 27.5″ Square Silk Like Neck Scarves Cute Dots Print Hair Scarf, Amazon

I wear hair scarves almost every day — my natural curls are a bit out of control, so these help me look presentable without having to straighten my hair.

Steve Madden Jacey Natural Snake Boots

Jacey Natural Snake Boots, Steve Madden

I searched high and low for snakeskin boots on a budget and kept striking out, so I decided to pull the trigger and get these shoes from Steve Madden. They’re unbelievably comfortable (I was able to wear them around NYC with ease) and you’re guaranteed to get compliments. You can also get 30% off with coupon code NEW30.

Spanx Camo Faux Leather Leggings, Nordstrom

I didn’t buy these on sale because I convinced myself I didn’t need them — guess who paid full-price before our trip to Paris earlier this year. Womp womp. I have exactly zero regrets, though — they’re worth it.

For Your Beauty Cabinet

Acne Pimple Master Patch Acne Patch

Acne Pimple Master Patch, Amazon

I started ordering these during my pregnancy because I was breaking out like crazy. They’re a godsend, especially if you’re like me and get tempted to pick at your skin.

KUSH High Volume Mascara

KUSH High Volume Mascara, Sephora

It is obscene to spend $24 on a tube of mascara, but Milk Makeup leaves us with no choice. This mascara is good enough that I took a break from lash extensions when I found it.

CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

BHA Blackhead Power Liquid, Amazon

I have extremely oily skin and a lot of excess sebum as a result — this blackhead solution from CosRX is a lifesaver.

For Your Business

comfortable DSLR Camera Strap Universal Neck Strap

DSLR Camera Strap, Amazon

I love my Canon 5D Mark III, but it is heavy. The standard camera strap that Canon provides isn’t super comfortable, but this cloth strap from Amazon came to the rescue.

Hitch Phone Tripod, Amazon

This iPhone tripod has been a lifesaver for IGTV videos — instead of asking Vagner to help me, I’m able to film handsfree without a problem.
