How Much Does Tampa Brow Lamination Cost? My In-Depth Review

The pandemic and my pregnancy with Nora both had me slacking on cosmetic care last year. I’m fully vaccinated now, so I decided to try out something I’ve been eyeing for a long time: changing up my eyes. Lash extensions were my first thought, but I find them a little high maintenance. I googled “Tampa brow lamination” because I wanted to find a place that was highly-rated. I don’t regret it, but I don’t love it as much as I assumed I would. A lot of you asked questions on Instagram, so I’m writing a master post with all of the answers.

Tampa Brow Lamination FAQ

These are just a few of the questions I got via direct message. If there’s anything that I missed, feel free to drop it in the comments! I wanted to start by sharing a before-and-after picture. I’ve got naturally full eyebrows, which is a huge plus, but I’ve been wanting to spruce them up. I thought about trying microblading, but I couldn’t justify the cost or the upkeep. Here’s what my brows looked like before and after my appointment. There’s a huge difference, and it’s more dramatic than I expected.

What Is Brow Lamination?

Have you ever gotten a perm? Brow lamination does the same thing. It straightens out your eyebrow hair, which makes it easier to brush them up into a full shape. Unlike a perm, it doesn’t burn and is completely painless. An esthetician puts a lifting cream on your brows and leaves it on for about 10 minutes. Then, your brow hairs are brushed up and a neutralizer is appleid. Lastly, they apply a neutralizing oil. I got a lash lift the same day as my brow lamination appointment, and the whole process took about an hour.

How Long Does It Last?

It can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks. My brows looked best the week after I had it done, but they’re still somewhat straight three weeks later. I brush them up when I’m leaving the house, and I usually apply eyebrow pencil after I’ve used a spoolie. I’ve found that the hair mostly stays in place and still looks good at the end of the day.

How Much Does It Cost?

Everyone’s favorite question! I went to Arts of Attraction in St. Pete and paid $65 before tip. I feel like the price is a bit steep, which is one reason I wouldn’t commit to doing it regularly. I probably could’ve gotten it done cheaper elsewhere, but they were the only studio that had all five-star reviews, and I didn’t want to do it unless I knew I’d found a trustworthy place.

Would You Do It Again?

Short answer: no. They look great, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think they’ve transformed my face or anything. I’m only willing to pay $65 monthly if it’s something I absolutely love. Having relatively full brows without any makeup also affected my view — I think that if my brows were thinner, I’d be more likely to go for it again.

I hope this helps anyone considering Tampa brow lamination! As always, leave a comment if you have any further questions. xx
