I’m Ayana Lage, a writer born and raised in Florida. I’ve been pouring my heart out on the Internet since the days of Xanga and LiveJournal. I graduated from the University of Florida determined to make a name for myself in print journalism. Unfortunately, I didn’t liked it very much, which is one of the reasons I launched a podcast about career journeys and what it means to have a dream job. I’ve written for a variety of publications, including Glamour Magazine, The Washington Post, and Bustle.

In 2019, my husband and I found out that we were going to have a baby. I lost the pregnancy due to trisomy 18, and I’ve written extensively about miscarriage and pregnancy loss awareness. The next year, we welcomed our daughter. Four years later, our baby boy joined the family. When I’m not online, I’m on the couch with my kids, ordering matcha at a coffee shop, or reading longform journalism articles. Thanks for visiting!
