Life is full of cheer because APS IS HERE! I try not to be too corny, but there’s no other way to express my excitement for Lilly Pulitzer’s After-Party sale. Save the date: It’s September 10-12, 2018. With only a few days left until the sale begins, I wanted to round up all of the questions I get most frequently about the sale. If you have any additional questions, leave them in the comments! Also, make sure you to scroll down to enter the giveaway at the bottom — it’s a good one.
We made it to Monday, friends! I know — I have it all backwards. But we’re supposed to be thankful for every day, not just Fridays, right?! I’m glad I survived the weekend and have a week filled with potential ahead. I may just be over-caffeinated, but I’m believing this week will be GOOD.
I’ve had this post sitting in drafts for a while, and I didn’t really know what to do with it because it is SO random and my posts are usually laid out well. But I want to use my blog to actually ramble about my life, even as things become more structured + this isn’t a place where I word vomit all the time! Who knows if I’ll ever do another Monday Musings post, but I figured I’d give it a try! Let’s get going.
When I first saw Tory Burch Miller sandals in person and glanced at the price, my reaction was, “I’m good, luv — enjoy.” (Bonus points if you get the meme I’m referencing.) I didn’t understand why a pair of sandals cost so much money, so I bought a cheaper pair of shoes and kept it moving. Little did I know that I’d eventually fall in love with Miller Sandals and become obsessed with finding them on sale. If you’re wondering, “When do Tory Burch sandals go on sale?” or “How do I find shoes that look like Miller sandals?”, I GOTCHU. I want to share my tips and tricks for getting a good deal!
I walked out of the fitting room exhausted and reveling in victory. I was tired because I’d tried on a dozen items in record time — don’t scoff until you’ve tried slithering in and out of Spanx leggings without breaking a sweat — and victorious because I’d conquered my first real attempt at the Nordstrom sale. I’ve avoided posting about the #nsale just because fashion blogging isn’t as engaging to me as it once was, but when the urge hit to drive to International Plaza and check out Nordstrom, I couldn’t ignore it. But is the Nordstrom sale worth it? Here are my thoughts. But first…
I’ve gotta be real with you: I love shopping, but I don’t even know that I love shopping. I just love surprises. My short-term memory is pretty crappy, so I usually forget what I’ve ordered once I’ve clicked “confirm.” Anyway, getting new clothing delivered to me — or picking it out in-store — is always exciting. When I launched my blog, I was seriously stressing about how I was going to create content when I didn’t have a ton of clothing.
I realized that it was impossible to wear a different outfit every day of the week — if not financially, it’s also pretty unsustainable environmentally! Back in April, I started to get invited to influencer events and I was seriously panicking. I had no idea how I would wear something different to all of these functions. It sounds so silly and vapid, but when you’re being photographed at events, you want to make sure you aren’t wearing the same dress to all of them. I was also in the process of moving, so most of my clothes were in a storage unit.
I know I should apologize for the terrible rhyming at the top of this post, but if there’s ever a time to get punny, it’s when we’re talking about Lilly Pulitzer. One of the reasons I love the brand so much is because every pattern name is a pun, and it’s all so clever!
Anyway, let’s get right to it since I know you didn’t come here for my dazzling sense of humor. Lilly Pulitzer has announced another collaboration just weeks after the Lilly Pulitzer x Swell launch (and only a few months after a fabulous partnership with Pottery Barn). Now, they’re teaming up with wellness brand GOOP to bring even more crossover goodness to our shopping carts.
