True life: I’m a serial snacker. I tend to rummage through the fridge when I’m bored or stressed, so I try to keep healthy snacks on-hand so that I’m not snacking on food that isn’t good for my body. When sanaia reached out to be about their applesauce, I was intrigued. Applesauce specifically designed for adults? Count me in. I haven’t eaten applesauce since my mom packed my lunch for me, but I’ve always liked it, so I figured it was worth a try. I tried two flavors — unsweetened and guava.
Guava was my favorite flavor, but I’m a sucker for tropical fruits. With slices of real fruit, it actually tastes like guava fruit while still having that classic applesauce flavor. Unsweetened was really good, too, though — don’t let the name scare you off. There are no added sugars, but the natural sweetness of the apple flavor shines through as a result.
I didn’t realize how much I loved applesauce until I tried these flavors — I went through three cups in two days! I bought my sanaia applesauce at my local Walmart, although several stores around me were sold out, so I recommend checking online before you go. If you’re looking for a nutritious snack, this is it.
